Canary Islands have a subtropical oceanic climate. The weather on the islands is almost always perfect. The rains fall mostly in the higher parts of islands, but they are not common.

Canary Islands climatically are closer to Africa than Spain. You can enjoy staing on the Canary Islands any time of the year. During the winter, you can spend half the summer price  for holidays on the Canary Islands . The water in the sea is to cold to swim, but there is warm enough to use the hotel pools and sunbathe. The weather in the winter months and autumn is also good for exploring the Canary Islands, hiking in the mountains.
In winter is best to go to Fuerteventura or Lanzarote, the islands closest to Africa, where the sun shines 330 days in a year, and the average temperature reaches 25 degrees (77°F). Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are desert islands. It rains here for only a few weeks a year. The air is clean and full of iodine.

Nights on the islands are cold, especially on Gran Canaria and Tenerife (the temperature can drop to 10 degrees (50°F). In July and August the temperatures are the highest, but the heat is not tiring. In summer, the night temperatures do not drop below 20 degrees (68°F).

    I think about spending a week or two with my family there. Is february a good month for children?

      There is always a good month for holiday on Canary Island, but the water in an ocean is to cold for swimming, and they could be dissapointed.
